• Italian journalism has a great responsibility in the cultural dominance of the Italian criminal culture. In Italy, there is no freedom of the press. I am not referring only to issues of national relevance but also to issues of local relevance. There is no a great censor who decides what to publish and what not to publish, but, simply, journalists are selected to know how to decide which news is inconvenient, because it can cause trouble, and which news requires external approval to not cause trouble. Italian journalistic information is the voice of Italy and in Italy is in force the criminal law of silence. Like every single Italian criminal, the printed press and the television news know what is better not to see and not to hear, much less can they talk about it.
